Restoration

This has always been a favourite area of mine – to understand the mindset of a bygone smith and to ensure the spirit of his work is preserved.  I understand the difference between conservation and restoration and I have developed various techniques to show future historians and restorers what work has been done, whether the medium is real wrought iron, copper, brass, bronze, iron or mild steel etc.
